Find or Create a Good Study Guide. The ACLS certification exam covers a lot of ground.

Memorize Your Algorithms,Hs and Ts. Memorization will play a huge role in whether you pass your ACLS certification or not. Start with the ACLS algorithms.

Practice,Practice,Practice. Just like the rest of your medical training,there is no substitute for practice. Your ACLS certification course should include access to several practice exams.

How to get ACLS?

Complete the course and pass all three exams

Get your ACLS card from an AHA training center or online store (your ACLS provider will tell you which)

Renew every two years,but only if it’s been more than five years since you passed the last exam

Does ACLS include BLS?

BLS includes adult/child and infant content, use of AED, and relief of choking. ACLS does not include the above & is more specific. ACLS is primarily focused on the adult victim and incorporates the BLS skills.
